Use Cake Craft Sweet Lace mix with our lace mats and moulds to create elegant and luxurious lace for your cookies and cakes.

Cake Craft cake lace is strong and stays flexible in many temperatures and humidities, making it very easy to work with. Product is edible and gluten free.

How to use:

1. Make the paste according to instructions on the packaging. You can colour your paste by adding gel colour during the preparation process.

2. Prepare your lace mat or mould with a light dusting of cornflour. Turn over and tap out any loose cornflour.

3. Spread an even layer of paste over the lace mat, scraping away any excess paste with a spatula or palette knife.

4. Allow to rest and set (dry). Depending on temperature this can take a couple of hours. If you're in a hurry, you can also place the mat in the oven on a low temperature (~ 80 degrees celsius) for 8-10 minutes to help the setting process. DO NOT OVERHEAT.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4, until you have a strong lace that is easy to handle. Typically requires two to three repeats.

6. To de-mould the lace, gently loosen the lace along the edge of the mould. Flip the lace over on your bench (so the lace is on the bottom) and gently pull the lace away from the mould.

Do not attempt to remove the lace until it is set - if the paste has not set, the lace will likely tear and you'll have to start all over again!
